The company doesn't expect an arm and a leg for once

After seeing Sennheiser demand $1,999.95 / 1591 Euro for a digital headphone amplifier, we are fairly surprised to see it releasing a headset that only costs 135 Euro / $135-175.

Named U 320, the audio product works with apple Mac systems and PCs just fine, but the company still advertises the product as an accessory useful for “mature gamers” (25 years of age or above) who play games on consoles, like Xbox and PS3.

"The U 320 ensures the best conditions for enjoying your favourite game. We've worked hard to develop a consistent sound, regardless of the platform, and believe that our efforts will contribute to players everywhere enjoying a better sound experience," says Product Manager Christian Ern of Sennheiser Communications.

U 320 features a noise-canceling microphone (muted by raising the boom arm), dual volume control on the cable, and soft-padded CircleFlex ear pads.

Sales will start this month, if they haven't already, with a two-year worldwide warranty.
