Recently single Niall Horan and not so recently single Selena were spotted out on a date together in London over the weekend.
The news hit the internet when a fan spotted the two in a nightclub and decided to pose for a photo, which she later uploaded to her Twitter account. Needless to say, this sent the rumor mill into overdrive, as both singers are world-famous in their own rights and a possible relationship is big news.
The timing couldn't be better since Niall has just broken up with Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin and is now single and depressed in London, recovering from knee surgery while taking 3 months off from touring with One Direction.
Meanwhile, Selena comes from the United States, where she's had to confront a real storm of rumors regarding her on-again-off-again relationship with troubled pop star Justin Bieber. She too has been taking some time off from music, after she canceled her Asian and Australian tours late last year.
Since then, she's been to rehab to tackle supposed alcohol and drug issues, although it's been revealed that she did not complete the program. While she confirmed her short stint in an Arizona facility that deals with teen issues regarding dependency, the singer did not offer details about her problems, sticking to just thanking her fans for their support.
The Daily Mail reports that, previous to her alleged fling to Niall Horan, Selena has also been linked with Union J's singer, George Shelly. By all accounts, the media is pretty eager to pair Selena with someone and fast.
Although this pairing has media publicity written all over it, a relationship with One Direction's Niall Horan might be beneficial to Gomez, who's been rumored to have taken up her addictions because of Justin Bieber.
