14 DAY TRIAL // Since the Golden Globes 2015 earlier this year, reports have been making the rounds, claiming that Selena Gomez had already gotten over the heartbreak caused by Justin Bieber and was dating DJ Zedd, who, at 25 was more mature than the Canadian heartthrob.
If you thought you’d get any clues to help you solve the mystery when they released music together, you were wrong.
The other day saw the release of the official music video for his latest single, “I Want You to Know,” which features Selena on the vocals. Zedd, real name Anton Zaslavski, only makes a few appearances in the clip because all focus is on Selena.
And boy is she having fun! One of her more recent releases was “The Heart Wants What It Wants,” which was supposedly written for (and about) Bieber and got a visual companion to match, showing Selena emoting and crying for the camera.
This new video is a very refreshing change of pace, taking place in a nightclub, where she arrives ready to party, and obviously, changes outfits 3 times and flips her hair back and forth a lot. Zedd is the silent gentleman who watches her from his seat, not bothering to mix in with the crowd.
This being a dance track, the video doesn’t really have a concept beyond that, but it’s more than enough to convey that feel-good sensation that should come with any decent dance music video. You can see it in full below.
