The towering Johnson looks big enough to take down a lion with his bare hands

The full first trailer of “Hercules: The Thracian Wars” is still some hours away from being released, but there is already a sneak peek version posted online showing the Rock as the mighty Hercules, dealing justice throughout ancient Greece.

Yesterday we got our first look at the new Hercules, as two official photos have been released, but this sneak peak offers a far better view. We see Johnson as he takes on a huge lion bare-handed in the beginning of the clip, before being portrayed walking over dead bodies the next minute.

The details about the plot say that Dwayne's Hercules is based on the graphic novel bearing the same name and it focuses on the life of the demi-god after his famous 12 Labors, at a time when he is haunted by his previous sins and turns to mercenary work.

The Brett Ratner-directed movie is going to make its way in theaters on July 25, by which time, fans can expect several trailers to become available. Until then, you're left with a very hairy Dwayne Johnson, who is wearing a hair piece made from real yak hair (yes, yak, as in that woolly animal usually found in the high Himalayas).
