After the British ESRC (short for Economic and Social Research Council) stated a little while back that small and medium business enterprises need to improve data security, Zen Software has already come up with a solution. The company will market a software product called SecurityGateway for Exchange/SMTP Servers made by Alt-N Tech Solutions. It is meant to protect against all kinds of threats, from spam to viruses and even phishing attacks.

The security solution is based on the Windows OS and can be implemented locally or in a hosted environment. It is user friendly and incredibly simple to operate.

James Steel, product manager with Zen Software, cited by Security Park, explains, "We're excited to add a security product to our portfolio that addresses the real world requirements of Exchange administrators. In addition to a plethora of cutting edge security tools to provide peace of mind, features such as the ability to enable end users to manage their own quarantine folders, will appeal to already overworked administrators looking to increase efficiency".

Arvel Hathcock, Founder and CEO of Alt-N Technologies says that the company he started always worked with one goal in mind, "to do everything possible to keep the junk messages and other threats out of the user's inbox". In the current environment, it is crucial to stay out of harm's way, it is imperative that small businesses find a cost effective way to protect themselves from spam, viruses, and other malicious software.

Arvel Hathcock adds, "without a clear understanding of email technology, many products still deliver high false positive rates and users remain frustrated with the performance of their solution. So we have combined our expertise in email delivery technology with our award-winning email security features to develop an entirely new product that meets the needs of any customer using an Exchange or other SMTP email server".
