14 DAY TRIAL // When he died in June this year, Michael Jackson had at least 100 complete songs in his possession and was working on two brand-new albums, reports in the media say. The Michael Jackson Estate has not yet confirmed any of this, but a new rumor suggests fans will hear new music from the King of Pop in just days, as producers are rushing to finish a song to promote the “This Is It” docu-film, the Mirror says.
According to the British tabloid, Michael laid down the vocals for the track months before his death and all that’s left now for producers to do is to make sure they finish it for release. They do face one massive challenge, though, the tab claims, since the track could leak at any minute if they’re not careful about who hears it, which is why they’ve hired several bodyguards to stand at the door of the recording studio almost at all times.
“A secret Michael Jackson single is being produced... and set to be a huge hit. [Jackson] recorded the song for release with his planner [sic] summer tour. It was shelved after the 50-year-old singer’s death in June but now producers in Los Angeles have remixed the vocals with an orchestral accompaniment.” the Mirror writes of the track. As of now, no details are available on it, such as an estimated release date or possibly a name, but sources from inside the record label claim it will blow everyone who listens to it away.
“It sounds awesome. The size and scope of the orchestra hasn’t been seen since Ray Charles recorded Georgia. Everyone expects a huge hit. But they’re worried about it getting out – they’ve hired huge bodyguards to stand by the studio door.” the unnamed insider reveals for the Mirror. As expected, the tabloid makes no mention of whether it has tried to contact Michael’s label for confirmation on the report or not.
Be that as it may, seeing how said “secret” track is supposed to be released ahead of “This Is It” to promote it and given that the film drops in theaters at the end of October, chances are an announcement regarding the song will be made soon – granted the above report is accurate.
