Mobile devices, phones, smartphones or Pocket PCs tend to be a vital element of everybody's life. That's why the biggest online companies are continuously developing specialized products for mobile phones.

One of the latest services designed for mobile devices is Yahoo SMS Search, a service that allows you to search the internet directly from your phone.

"With Yahoo! SMS Search you can use search shortcuts to send your search query as a text message and receive info on the go. The following Yahoo! SMS Search Shortcuts are available today: Local Listings, Weather, Stock Quotes, Definitions, Horoscopes, Area Codes, ZIP Codes, Wi-Fi Hotspots," Yahoo said.

The company also provides information about the use of the service that tends to be easier than other products.

- Send a text message with your Y! Shortcut (search term) to U.S. Shortcode 92466 (Yahoo! on most phones). Enter your search term in the main message area (your carrier might charge you for sending and receiving each text message for Yahoo! SMS Search. Check your wireless plan for details.). - You will receive a text message with your results. You can receive up to three messages. - When indicated, you can send 2 as a reply for more results or to refresh the information. - Depending on your search request, a link to a mobile web page with more detailed information might be included in your text message.
