14 DAY TRIAL // Seann William Scott, the actor who will for ever go down in history as Stifler from “American Pie,” is back on the market again. The actor and model Lindsay Frimodt have called off the engagement, it has emerged.
Scott, who has been linked in the past to stunning actresses like January Jones and Jaime King, popped the question to the Victoria’s Secret Angel last year, while on holiday.
They never announced a wedding date but they seemed determined to spend the rest of their lives together.
It wasn’t meant to happen, Us Weekly notes.
“Nearly a year after announcing their plans to marry, Seann William Scott and former Victoria's Secret model Lindsay Frimodt have called off their engagement, Scott's rep confirms,” the celebrity publication writes.
“After less than a year of dating, the American Reunion actor, 35, proposed to the beauty in early 2012 during a beach vacation,” the same media outlet notes.
Neither star has issued a statement on the breakup, but an inside source swears that the split was “amicable” and that Seann and Lindsay “remain good friends.”
Presumably, it was their hectic schedule that ruined the romance or, word online has it, they simply fell out of love and decided it was best to call it quits.
In March 2012, at the premiere of “American Reunion,” Seann was gushing about his girlfriend turned fiancée, saying he couldn’t believe his luck to find such a wonderful woman to date him.
“I don't how I got a girl like my fiancée. She hadn't seen American Pie. Thank god. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't be engaged,” he said at the time, as cited by the same media outlet.
He was most definitely referring to the exploits of his on-screen character Stifler, who isn’t exactly what you’d call a saint.
