California Coastal Commission got angry over the billionaire's wedding plans, fined him

On Saturday, Sean Parker married songwriter Alexandra Lenas. The wedding cost a whopping $10 million (€7.67 million), but at least the billionaire can say that this was money well spent.

Unlike the $2.5 million (€1.91 million) he had to pay to the California Coastal Commission after it was discovered that he had no proper permits whatsoever for the movie set-like wedding site he was busy building in Big Sur. TMZ says that the region where Sean Parker's wedding took place is an ecologically sensitive one, and that the fish and plants inhabiting it weren't all that happy about having cabins, dance floors, staircases and waterfalls installed smack in the center of their natural habitats.

After Sean Parker agreed to pay the $2.5 million fine, which was really more of a settlement, the California Coastal Commission allowed him to carry on with his wedding plans.

Once all the conundrum was done with, the structures were removed from the area.

The billionaire is said to have been really cooperative, and truly concerned about not damaging the local ecosystems.
