The people in Wales consider the bird to be a true survivor

Just recently, the people in Wales were surprised to see a seagull with an arrow stuck in its body still circling the skies. As shocking as it might seem, it is likely that the bird was purposely shot with a crossbow by someone looking to have some fun.

Given its extreme resilience, the seagull was named Usain, in honor of the 100m Olympic champion Usain Bolt.

Although severely injured for quite some time now, the bird seems unwilling to give up on its lifestyle and still spends its time flying over buildings and coming down to feed once city noises subside.

Animal rights activists are terribly concerned that the bird might be in serious pain, and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) argued that, if caught, the person who shot Usain would face serious charges.

From where we stand, such cruelty to animals is intolerable and we hope that RSPB stands by its word.
