Since it apparently thought it was time for a new set of mid-tower enclosures, Scythe came forth and released the Gekkou Standard and Gekkou Silent models, each with their respective sets of color options.

The Scythe Gekkou Standard and Gekkou Silent measure 196 (W) x 430 (H) x 525 (D) mm and weight between 14.55 lbs / 6.6 kg and 16.49 lbs / 7.48 kg.

All of them can support up to ATX motherboards (Micro ATX, Mini ATX, Mini ITX, Flex ATX and ATX) and have five external bays of 5.25 inches, for optical disk drives and other gadgets.

There are also four internal 3.5-inch drive bays, where hard disk drives or solid state drives can be inset.

The cases are constructed out of steel and have I/O panels with eSATA, audio ports and two USB 2.0 ports.

What's more, their maker threw in a front dust filter and two Slip Stream fans with a diameter of 120mm.

These two fans are placed on the front and at the rear, respectively, and have a rotary speed of 800 RPM.

Furthermore, the Gekkou Silent features sound-absorbing matting on the side panels and on top, to reduce the noise output, obviously.

A final advantage is that the PSUs can be mounted at the bottom of the casings, on a thick rubber spacer, users even having the option of deciding whether it should be facing the fan top or bottom side.

As for those in need of better cooling, a pair of watercooling holes are pre-drilled at the back of every model.

Scythe will be offering the two Gekkous in silver, black or a mirror finish, so as to appeal to as wide a consumer base as possible.

Unfortunately, the products have not actually been given price tags but can be seen in detail on their official product pages, located here and here.
