Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 is only several months away, and the hype around it keeps on growing. Starting with this week, Windows Phone 7 devices started to arrive in developers' hands around the world, and the first video reviews of the operating system emerged around the Internet. The platform reportedly reached technical preview status, and its features and apps are looking as good as they would, including the Bing application Microsoft packed inside it.

And since the Bing app for Windows Phone 7 is looking so great, a series of screenshots with the application have just been published, offering those who did not receive a WP7 device as of yet the possibility to take a look at how it should look like. According to a recent post on the Bing Community Blog, people are quite happy with what the development team managed to achieve until now.

The screenshots available with Bing for Windows Mobile were published on the said blog, and they are meant to highlight some of the apps features, including: - nice fidelity to the Bing homepage - a visually compelling view on weather data from Bing - access to some very useful task completion features like flight status answers - great mapping integration, including elegant navigation for driving or walking - Windows Phone 7 has a smart experience for finding local listings like restaurants - reviews included into the details - a very different approach to elegant interaction design

According to Erik Jorgensen, Corporate Vice President, Online Services Division, Bing on Windows Phone 7 seems set to offer an impressive experience to all users. Of course, we'll have to wait for the first commercial devices to get on shelves and then on users' hands to see how things actually work, but the first impression on the solution is a positive one, that's for sure.

“This week, Microsoft took the wraps off Windows Phone 7, as reviewers have begun publishing in-depth reviews of the new experience from Windows Phone (congratulations to our colleagues over in Windows Phone Team ). Like lots of others at Microsoft, we’re device geeks who couldn’t wait to get our hands on what is shaping up to be an elegant, intuitive experience spanning lots of the common things we all need to get done each day,” the blog post notes.
