Firefox - a more secure browser

Microsoft and security issues have known one another a real long time, and the more frustrated users became when there was no real alternative to Internet Explorer, the more they felt like running away from it and never looking back when a real opportunity presented itself.

And the alternative is here and even though security issues have started to arise, the newcomer has still a great shot for the title of best browser around. Firefox is the name everybody seems to ask about if they're not already power users of the open source browser. It runs on Linux as well as Windows and Mac systems, but the greatest thing about it is that it gives you a real feeling of stepping away from the Microsoft empire.

One of the pluses of Firefox is that it is a svelte program that loads and operates quickly. Firefox makes it easy to add plug-ins such as Real Player (RNWK ) for streaming media and Java for interactivity. You can also add extensions that provide optional features such as chat and a dictionary.

It might be possible to come across some sites that aren't fully compatible with Firefox as they use proprietary Microsoft technologies.
