Apple has new deals up for grabs for those looking to buy themselves a powerful Macintosh, with offers ranging from a $999 MacBook Pro to a 27-inch, fully-loaded iMac that saves its lucky buyer some $430.

If you haven’t gotten around to ticking “purchase Mac” on your list of New Year Resolutions, perhaps it is worth looking into a couple of offerings from Apple’s Special Deals section.

The first in a long list of discounted Macs is Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Pro (the first 13-incher in the Pro line of Apple laptops), equipped with a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

The system ships with a standard 4GB (2 x 2GB) of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM, 250GB Serial ATA @ 5400 rpm, 8x double-layer SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW), and NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory.

This is considered a low-end MBP as it has the smallest screen in the family - 13.3-inch (LED-backlit).

However, with its built-in iSight, and looks to kill (not to mention that it comes pre-loaded with the world’s most advanced operating system), the $999 price tag should be considered a bargain for Apple fans.

For those who are looking for less mobility and more computing power, a refurbished 27-inch iMac with a 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU can be purchased from Apple’s Special Deals section for $1,269.

According to the Mac maker, the refurb slashes $430 off the computer’s original retail price.

The iMac’s specs are:

- 27-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display - 4GB memory - 1TB hard drive - 8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW) - ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics with 256MB memory - Built-in iSight camera.

Both computers were available for order at the time of this writing. Make sure you hurry if you want to grab either one of them, as refurb stock is always limited.
