As soon as Next Week, mobile phone users in Canada will be able to purchase yet another highly appealing BlackBerry device from wireless carrier SaskTel, namely the BlackBerry Torch 9860.

The mobile phone was already listed on the operator's website with a “coming soon” tag on it, and the company confirmed via Twitter that next week is the lucky time frame for enthusiasts.

When made available for purchase, the new BlackBerry Torch 9860 smartphone will sport a price tag of $129.99 with the signing of a three-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

Those who would rather go for shorter contracts will be able to purchase the BlackBerry Torch 9860 for $449.99 with a two-year term, or for $499.99 on a one-year contract. When purchased with monthly-rolling contracts, the smartphone costs $549.99.

The new Torch 9860 comes to the market with the largest touchscreen display in the BlackBerry lineup, and offers upgraded specs, such as the 1.2GHz application processor inside, the same as other BlackBerry 7 OS devices do too.

The phone's specifications list shows that the screen boasts an 800 x 480 pixels resolution, and that users can enjoy 4G of internal memory with the new device, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32 GB of additional storage space.

“Powered by the new BlackBerry 7 OS and Liquid Graphics, the BlackBerry Torch 9860 makes your photos, videos, games and apps come to life in incredible detail,” the wireless carrier notes.

“A spectacular 3.7" all-touch screen is the largest on a BlackBerry smartphone to date and it boasts millions of colors while providing a smooth, accurate and fast typing experience.”

The new BlackBerry Torch 9860 measures 4.72 x 2.44 x 0.45 inches and weighs in at 4.76 oz. It packs a Lithium-Ion battery that can offer up to 6.8 hours of talk time or up to 13.5 days of standby time.
