You know Sapphire as a high end video card maker. So I guess you won't be surprised when you read about their latest X1950Pro card. And let me tell you it packs quite a powerful punch, featuring Zalman cooling and slightly higher clock rates than regular X1950 Pro cards. Silence related we have the customized Zalman VF900-Cu with Sapphire branding and blue LED surrounding it with Zalman heatsinks over the chips in order to keep the memory cool. It's Zalman everywhere then.

Zalman cooling also helped Sapphire clock Ultimate X1950 Pro GPU at 580 MHz instead of thet575 MHz (default). Joining the slight GPU clock increase is faster video memory running at 800 MHz GDDR3 on a 256-bit interface. Unfortunately, although it is possible to produce a 512MB card with an 1950Pro GPU, Sapphire's product comes only with 256MB mounted on its Ultimate X1950 Pro.

Additional features of the Sapphire Ultimate X1950 Pro include HDCP compatibility, dual dual-link DVI outputs, Vista Aero compatibility, H.264 support, TV-out and a PCI Express x16 interface. Availability of the Sapphire Ultimate X1950 Pro is unknown but the board is expected to retail next week with a price tag of $229 USD.
