Sandra Bullock offers George Clooney a shoulder to cry on after split from Elisabetta Canalis

With no word yet on why he’d need comforting after the split from Elisabetta Canalis, word has it George Clooney is getting a shoulder to cry on from good friend and co-star Sandra Bullock.

Late this week, news broke that George and Italian television star Elisabetta Canalis had ended their romance, with many reports suggesting that it was he who broke up with her for reasons yet unknown.

Clooney is now in London, working on a new movie, which also stars his good friend Sandra Bullock. When she heard about the split, she was very supportive of him, reports suggest.

“The Hollywood stars are currently filming their new movie, Gravity, in London, England, and Bullock – who recently divorced her cheating husband Jesse James – has been providing Clooney with a shoulder to cry on,” Showbiz Spy writes, citing reports in the British media.

As noted above, no one seems to know yet why George needs the shoulder to cry on in the first place since he broke up with Elisabetta and not the other way around.

“They are very close and she will hate to see George hurting. They have also been through the mill relationship-wise. They will be there for each other,” an unnamed spy is cited as saying.

As we also informed you a few days ago, a friend of Canalis told the Italian media that she had no idea that George would break up with her or that there was anything wrong in their relationship.

In fact, only a couple of weeks ago or so, she’d done a lengthy interview in which she gushed about him, saying she was the happiest she’d been in her life – and even stressing that marriage was still on the table for them, even if not right at that moment.

Back on the story of Bullock and Clooney, it would be that far-fetched to expect the tabs to come out next with stories about how they’re having an affair, it is being said.

Keep an eye on this space for more on this.
