One of the main complaints of every tablet owner out there is battery life. Sure, we have seen newer models like the Lenovo Yoga tablets arrive with a powerful power-pump capable of providing up to 18 hours of juice, but we are yet to see this become a standard on the market.

But Danish manufacturer Sandberg might have a solution to customer woes. Solar batteries. The company has already an offering on the market which are compatible with smartphones, but the new product will sport an improvement performance, thus making it suitable for tablets.

The new batteries will have a capacity of 6000 mAh, which is an evident increase from the previous 2000 mAh model.

To charge the battery users will have to place it in direct sunlight, so solar energy can be converted into electricity. This makes it perfect for those of you planning to be camping outdoors for an entire week, but still want to keep in touch with loved ones back home.

The battery includes microUSB ports for connecting your tablet to it. The power providing unit features a series of four LED which provide feedback regarding the available power level form the Sandberg device.

The new battery is available with Sandberg and costs £44 / $72 / €53.
