SanDisk, one of the world's leading vendors of Flash-based memory cards, has recently announced the introduction of a new 32GB SDHC card, claiming it is the world's fastest SDHC solution. Featuring write and read speeds of 30MB/s, the new memory card is designed to deliver high-performance levels to digital photography enthusiasts. In addition, the new Flash-based storage solution adheres and exceeds the SD Association's new class 10 specification, according to SanDisk.

“The market for entry to mid-level DSLR cameras is growing, and SDHC is becoming the de-facto card format for these devices,” Susan Park, director, retail product marketing, SanDisk, said. “Our card’s 32GB of storage and up to 30MB/s read & write speeds enable DSLR users to shoot without worrying about storage or speed limitations. SanDisk Extreme SDHC cards provide consumers with a more enjoyable user experience, letting them focus on what is really important – the images that they are capturing.”

The technology for NAND Flash storage has been significantly enhanced in recent years, providing users with an increased capacity and performance and a better pricing. These small-sized portable storage solutions have been adopted as standard storage ones for a number of devices, ranging from DSLR cameras to media players and more. The latest SDHC card from SanDisk comes to provide users of these devices with an increased-performance, Flash-based storage solution.

According to SanDisk, the new 32GB SDHC card can deliver read and write speeds of 30MB/s, capable of storing 160 minutes of full HD 1080p video at a 24MB/s data transfer rate. The new card increases the performance of the first 10-class 32GB SDHC solution announced by Panasonic earlier last year. According to SanDisk, its new 32GB SDHC card is currently the world's fastest 32GB SDHC solution, compliant with the new 10-class specification of the SD Association.
