SanDisk brings good news to its fans. In the nearest future, one of the best seller MP3 line, Sansa, is gong to support DivX video.

Recently, the company announced a licensing agreement allowing SanDisk to include the popular DivX technology in its products.

The consumers are going to have seamless access to the growing library of professional and user-generated video content available today online in DivX format.

According to Sandisk Press release, Daniel Schreiber, Senior Vice-President and General Manager for SanDisk's Audio Video Business Unit stated: "This partnership aims to allow our customers to take full advantage of innovative video features and content found only through DivX."

Before being marketed, all the products that bear the DivX Certified logo must undergo a rigorous testing program to ensure a high quality media experience such as video playback, interoperability with other DivX certified devices and the visual quality that users expect from DivX.

But what does this really mean? All the players that are capable of supporting DivX enable the users to grab TV shows or movies off the Internet and put them straight on the player without massive time consuming. Sounds too good to be true?

Moreover, in the same press release Kevin Hell, President of DivX said: "Our agreement with SanDisk brings together pioneering consumer electronics with DivX's expertise for digital video. Adding DivX to the Sansa product line's arsenal of features will provide cutting-edge media capabilities to consumers, and strengthen the common media language we're building through the open DivX ecosystem."

The first DivX product ever released was a video compression-decompression software library, which was downloaded for more than 220 million times since 2003.

Last month, SanDisk announced the introduction of the first 64GB Solid State disks in 1.9" and 2.5" form factors, being the first vendor to announce such an impressive product.
