The acquisition process has been completed, giving SanDisk a new Executive

Just like OCZ made a deal with a certain other entity for a foothold in China, SanDisk has completed certain negotiations with SMART Storage Systems, as well as a bunch of other authorities.

SanDisk did more than sign a pact, though. It has completely assimilated SMART Storage Systems.

Well, that's not entirely true. After all, SMART Storage Systems will continue to exist. It's just that it will operate under the guidance of its buyer, and use its resources.

In fact, John Scaramuzzo, the current president, will keep his post. Those 25 years of experience at Seagate, Maxtor, Quantum and Digital Equipment Corporation will come in handy.

Nevertheless, changes will ensue from the merger of SMART Storage Systems and SanDisk's Enterprise Storage Solutions.

SanDisk expects better sales on the enterprise SATA market and the SAS segment. New SSD contracts inbound.
