According to the latest news on the Web, we should be able to see the first Samsung mobile phone powered by Google’s Android operating system launched on the market as soon as June this year. At the same time, it seems that the company wants to launch two more Android-based handsets during the ongoing year, at they are also planned for release on the US market.

We already spotted some info on the said device earlier this year, yet back then, the device was reported to actually head to the market sometime in the third quarter of the year. The Korean mobile phone maker seems to have stepped on the gas pedal with the development of the device, and it would come to the market earlier than expected, although it won't be available in the US at that time, says Forbes.

Dr. Won-Pyo Hong, executive vice president of global product strategy at Samsung’s mobile communication division, is reported to have recently stated that users in the United States would be able to enjoy two other Android mobile phones, only that they would come in the second half of the year.

The handsets that would be heading towards the US are expected to be different from the other Android devices from Samsung, due to the fact that they would come to the lineups of two different carriers, which should be T-Mobile and Sprint, as they are the wireless operators that joined Google’s Open Handset Alliance.

It appears that Samsung intends to make customizations to its Android-based mobile phones so as to make them different from the similar phones that HTC has released into the wild. Hopefully, the company will manage to deliver the devices in time, and more info on them will come out in the near future, so stay tuned to learn the news.
