Looks like Samsung has finally made it into SSD's (solid state disk) world and it will soon retail its first compliant products - the NT-Q30-SSD 12.1-inch notebook and the NT-Q1-SSD, an enhancement brought to the previous renowned Q1 ultra-mobile PC which now has a 32GB SSD under its cover. The notebook will sport a 60GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, and will be powered by the Via's C7-M processor.

"With the SSD technology at its side, the new models would be more hardy and faster. It would be able to boot up 25 to 50 per cent faster and would have impressive write and read speeds of 28MB per second and 53MB per second respectively. The new SSD would be more stable and shock resistant. However the best part is that it would be totally noise free," informs Mobile Whack.

Earlier this month, Samsung has launched another full-featured notebook named Sens R40, which sports a 15.4-inch widescreen LCD display, with the graphics signed by ATI Radeon Xpress 200M.

The notebook is powered by an Intel Core Duo processor; it has 80GB hard disk storage and not a great 512MB. The good news now - Sens comes with a DVD burner, Atheros Super G WLAN, hot keys for multimedia content, and 4w stereo speakers. The Sens will be soon available at a suggested retail price of $1471.

But also Tsukumo Japan has launched a nice mobile workstation - the N170-802D, a high-end gaming notebook powered by Intel Core Duo T2400 1.83GHz processor running on Microsoft Windows XP operating system.

Tsukumo's notebook comes with a 17-inch WXGA TFT LCD with resolutions of 1920 x 1200 pixels, Nvidia Quadro FX 2500M, 80GB hard disk storage, DVD Super-multi drive, Mobile Intel 945PM Express chipset and no less than 1GB DDR2 RAM. Furthermore, it sports a 7-in-1 memory card reader which is compatible with memory stick, memory stick Pro, memory stick Duo, SD/Mini-SD/MMC/RSMMC, and IEEE802.11a/b/g wireless connectivity as well as an integrated Bluetooth module.
