The phone will be extremely simple and easy to use

If you are one of those people who like phones packed with connectivity and multimedia features, or one of those that like to make phone calls using complex menus, or even one of those who simply like having a phone that compliments their ego, the Jitterbug is not for you.

Jitterbug is a phone meant to be operated on a single touch of a button, a cell phone stripped of all the impressive features that phones usually offer these days, in short: a phone which is simple and easy to use. This is a phone for people that just want to talk to a few friends or family members, maybe call 911 if they have an emergency, and this just sums up its uses. How long has it been since you last thought about a phone as an instrument necessary only for such simple uses? From my own experience... it's been a very very long time.

Even if the Jitterbug will be such an easy to use phone, it will still have a stylish and practical design: it is a white clamshell, with a soft ear cushion that surrounds the ear, thus reducing the background noise and a volume control button on the back of the device, allowing the user to adjust the volume with just a finger touch. It has only three large buttons, which are back-lit, bright, easy to see and easy to push, and this way you will never dial the wrong number. The buttons are named "Operator", "My choice" and "911".

The first is used to get in touch with the 24/7 available Jitterbug operator, that can connect you to a programmed entry in your phone book or any other person you wish. The operator can also help the user to manage the phone's features or to personalize and change the phone list.

The "My choice" button just dials the number that you dial most often, connecting you in an instant, without having to scroll through your entire phone book.

The "911" does just what its name says: gives you quick access to all the 911 services at your fingertip.

The device is being sold for a price ranging from 100 to 150 $, and for this price you'll get a cellphone, a car charger and 100 free minutes.
