Well-known electronics giant, Korean company Samsung is apparently very close to making the official launch announcement for the new Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. The strange surprise is the fact that some US-based retailers already have the new toys in stock and detailed pictures have surfaced on the net.

The new tablet is powered by a quad-core processor running at 1.4 Ghz, which is likely Samsung’s own ARM Exynos 4 CPU that features a 10.1” WXGA LCD.

The guys at gasmarena.com have managed to get their hands on some unboxing pictures here.

The operating system of choice is, of course, Google’s Android 4.0 and the whole thing is fueled by a 7000 mAh battery.

The powerful CPU is accompanied by 2GB of LPDDR2 RAM that is also very likely to be manufactured by Samsung, and the device also features two cameras.

The one on the back has a 5MP sensor and the front-facing one has a maximum resolution of just 2MP.
