First seen more than one month ago, in the Netherlands, Samsung i900 seems to be one of the best mobile phones ever created by Samsung until now and, of course, one of the most advanced to be released on the market this year. The handset is rumored to have a retail price of about $500 (320 Euros), which is not much considering all the features it comes with.

The new Samsung was recently spotted in China, live, and its (almost complete) list of specs was also unveiled. The i900 has them all: quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, built-in GPS, a 3.5 inch TFT touchscreen display with 240 x 400 pixels and 262K colors, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus and flash, secondary video-call camera, TV-out, Bluetooth with A2DP, FM radio, a huge internal memory of 16GB (like the yet to come Nokia N96), plus microSD card for another 8GB.

Running on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, Samsung i900 (or Samsung SGH-i900) will also bring the whole suite of Microsoft mobile applications. Moreover, the phone measures only 112 x 56 x 13 millimeters and it comes with a 1500 mAh battery that should be powerful enough for long talk and stand-by times.

Apparently, there will be two versions of the new handset: i900 and i908, the latter coming under Samsung's AnyCall brand. There's no word yet about the difference between the two devices. Most probably, since they look just the same, the i908 comes with connectivity features that allow it to work on the Asian mobile networks (like the South Korean and the Japanese ones), while the i900 is created to work worldwide. We'll see about that when Samsung officially launches the i900 / i908, probably sometime at the beginning of the summer.
