The third model of DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) satellite phone was launched by Samsung together with the "horizontal" phone. The lifespan of the battery is another key feature of the terminal, allowing the viewing of 3 hours of video content.

The successor of the SCH-B100 and SCH-B130 models was launched at Cannes, in France, during the MIPTV/MILIA event. The new B200 has a LCD that allows users to view in excellent conditions the content of the DMB transmissions, but also eases the access to other multimedia functions, like displaying static images or compatible games. The innovative slide and turn design is a first for Samsung and it improves the user's maneuverability and comfort level.

The battery has a high capacity which ensures the uninterrupted functioning of the terminal for three hours, when the display is used to play multimedia content. Until now, the problem of battery lifespan was a major obstacle in promoting the DMB compatible phones. The B200 model has a digital camera of 2 megapixels which allows the capturing of images in a manner similar to low-end dedicated devices. The multimedia functions also include a MP3 player and a video player, the latter emphasizing the 2.2 inch and 262,000 color LCD. Moreover, the phone has a Tv-Out connector, an extension for external memory (TransFlash) and a system which eases the viewing of documents created in Microsoft Word or Excel.

Samsung announces that SCH-B200 will be available starting from the first half of this year, but no others details have been offered.
