If you thought Apple dumping Samsung for chips from TSMC was rough, Samsung is ready with the comeback.

Samsung Display, Samsung's subsidiary, has decided to reduce the number of flat-screen LCDs shipped to Apple. The company will cease delivery altogether in 2013.

This information comes courtesy of Korea Times, where the company is cited as saying that it is unable to meet the “huge discounts” Apple asks for.

“We are unable to supply our flat-screens to Apple with huge price discounts. Samsung has already cut our portion of shipments to Apple and next year we will stop shipping displays,” said a senior Samsung source that requested to remain anonymous.

Samsung Electronics and Amazon will supposedly increase their orders and make up for the shipments lost through this maneuver.

With how awkward the patent war between Samsung and Apple has become, we aren't surprised at their ties breaking this way.
