Just as confirmed late last week, wireless carrier T-Mobile USA has added a new Android-based mobile phone to its offering, the Samsung Vibrant. The new device lands on the market as T-Mobile's variant of Samsung Galaxy S, the high-end Android-based handset that is slowly becoming one of the hottest devices all around the world. Running under Google's Android 2.1 operating system and sporting support for a wide range of mobile services and applications, Galaxy S has all that it takes to prove a winner.

The attractive touchscreen display and the fast processor are not the only high-end features the Samsung Vibrant lands at T-Mobile with. The mobile phone's specifications list also shows 16 GB of built-in memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, GPS receiver, a high-quality photo snapper, and more.

The new Android-based device at T-Mobile measures 4.8 x 2.5 x 0.4 inches and weighs in at 4.2 ounces. It is powered by a 1500mAh Li-ion, boasts support for GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 /1900MHz) and UMTS: Band I (2100) and Band IV (1700/2100) frequencies, and comes with a 2GB SD Card included in the package. The Samsung Vibrant features a price tag of $199.99 upon the signing of a two year contract agreement on an Even More plan and after a $50.00 mail in rebate. If purchased with Even More Plus plans, the handset costs $499.99.
