Don't you just like it when Samsung releases Gold and Black editions of its most popular handsets? If you do, then you'll be happy to know that U900 gets a limited edition precisely in this combination of colors, but since the phone is one of the most popular sliders created by Samsung, this seems the natural thing to do.

The giant manufacturer also released a limited edition of the U600, and the specs of the phone weren't that much different, which also seems to be the case with the U900. The original Samsung U900 had a brushed metallic look, a 2.2 inch TFT 16 million color, 240x320 pixel display, and a navigation panel, as well as 128 MB of memory that was expandable through a microSD card slot.

Also, the phone offered 3G connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and USB 2.0, thus allowing users to surf the Internet and sync their device with the PC. A 5 megapixel camera with a 2560x1920 pixel resolution and autofocus, image stabilizer, flash and video recording capabilities (QVGA) was incorporated into this phone, and they say that it is one of the best 5 megapixel cameras around.

The handset also has an FM radio with RDS and an MP3 player. Not many differences are expected in the limited edition, except the colors that are bound to give the phone a new exclusive look. This should come really useful for Samsung fans and fashionistas or people who simply want to have a phone that says "I'm like you but a bit different."

If you want to get one of the limited editions of Samsung U900 and stand out with this device, then you should know that the phone is already available in some markets. Its retail price will be somewhere around 30 Euros or 40 US dollars.
