Ladies and gentlemen, hats off for the new Samsung T9+ Mp3 player! Oh darn, it has the same look!

The new player offers Bluetooth connectivity, letting the user enjoy the wireless audio experience, which only Samsung can offer.

The T9+ is the proud successor of the YP-T9, which created quite a stir on the Korean markets. The highly improved features include MP3 and WMA file format support and a new player-to-player game function that lets the T9+ owners play games with a couple of friends, within a 30-foot radio.

They kept the same glossy look and the same generous 1.8"TFT LCD color screen, which is not bad at all. The new pricing details and availability information are unknown for the time being, but the flash-based T9+ is packed with 2GB, 4GB and 8GB flavors. The T9+ can play MP3, WMA, WMA DRM, WMA DRM 10 MP3 files, which are the most common music format available today. The WMA option uses better compression technology, so owners can have smaller files that sound as good as the MP3s do. It can deal with MPEG4 files, the most common open video format available today.

Samsung Multimedia Software included the player with transcodes options for the video on the computer before transferring to the YP-T9, so files on the YP-T9 play at the optimal frame size/rate with minimal effort from the user.

The video resolution is of 208x176, at a 15fps. Just as its previous version, it can perform remarkably well the photo playback. The Samsung Multimedia Software transfers JPEG images onto the player to enable the user to zoom and re-center the images. Any photo can become a wallpaper while listening to music. Unfortunately, the T9 cannot display photos and play music at the same time.

Many of the features of the earlier T9 are available in Korea, but as you probably expected, the North American version will require software updates for English-language versions of games and the interface itself.
