Deciding it was time to release something new for the display solutions market, Samsung prepared a pair of new addition to its SyncMaster series, namely one with a screen size of 22 inches and one that measures 24 inches.

The two monitors that Samsung has brought forth, or so say reports, go by the names of SyncMaster 2243DW and 2443DW.

The former has a screen size of 22 inches, whereas the latter has a diagonal which measures 24 inches.

Both of them are meant to be employed by end-users from the business sector, which means that they should end up on office desks, although there is no law that forbids consumers from considering them viable purchases.

They both have a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which means that they have full support for Full HD media of any sort.

Additionally, the 2243DW has a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1, whereas the 2443DW goes a bit higher, to 70,000:1.

Another aspect is that they each have a response time of 5ms, plus a brightness of 300 cd/m2, in addition to multiple display connectors.

Said connectivity options include a D-sub connector, a DVI port and a DisplayPort output.

All in all, these two seem to live up to the standards that their maker adheres to when it comes to business-oriented monitors.

Samsung even made sure that they comply with the requirements needed by a display to earn TCO 5.0 certification.

What's more, their stands are capable of not just height adjustment, but also of swivel, tilt and pivot tweaks, for maximum comfort.

The company will start shipping the two devices in Europe, as well as other market if it so chooses, sometime later this month.

The 22-inch SyncMaster 2243DW and 24-inch 2443DW will sell for 269 Euro and 329 Euro, respectively, and will be backed by three-year warranties.
