14 DAY TRIAL // After recently expanding its Galaxy family with four new Android smartphones, Samsung has just announced the availability of three feature-phones: Samsung Star II Duos, Metro Duos and Metro 3752.
All three phones will be available in India from various carriers and local retailers, beginning this week.
According to the guys over at SammyHub, the Star II Duos will be priced at Rs. 6,920 (about $150), the Metro Duos will cost Rs. 4,240 (about $92), while the Metro 3752 will sell for Rs. 5,270 (about $114).
Star II Duos seems to be the best featured from the lot, as it comes with a 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen display and dual-SIM capabilities.
Software-wise, the Star II Duos comes bundled with Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz 3.0 user interface, SoundAlive and Dolphin Internet Browser
In addition, it features Social Hub app with Twitter and Facebook integration, QuickType T9 trace keyboard, and support for Office documents, PDF and TXT files.
Other highlights of the phone include a 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as a 1200mAh battery.
Samsung Metro Duos comes with dual-SIM capabilities as well, but has a smaller 2.2-inch QVGA display.
Some of the phone's features include: 2-megapixel camera, music player, Bluetooth with EDR support, HTML browser, mFluent Instant Messaging, as well as access to social networking services.
The phone's 1000mAh battery should provide up to 10 hours of talk time or up to 500 hours of standby time.
It is also worth mentioning that the phone will be available at Tata Docomo, but it looks like Letsbuy is selling it cheaper at just Rs. 3,850 (about $84).
Samsung Metro 3752 is a basic feature-phone that bears a standard slider form factor and offers users display support for 8 regional languages.
The phone comes with a 2.4-inch display, a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper, Bluetooth connectivity, FM Radio, music player, and microSD card slot for memory expansion.
