Samsung Korea has unveiled a new DMB mobile phone, Samsung SCH-B490, which allows users to watch TV directly from the device.

TV broadcasts can be watched on a 2.15 inch QVGA TFT display which can be rotated 360 degrees.

In terms of multimedia, the handset offers a camera with a 3.2 megapixel resolution and autofocus which allows users to take high quality pictures, and a music player that supports the playback of MP3 and AAC audio files.

Users can also watch video clips from the Internet as the phone comes with streaming video capabilities.

The handset is compatible with CDMA2000 EV-DO networks which allows for high transfer speeds and makes streaming video possible.

One drawback of the phone is the storage space of 67 MB which is pretty low if one takes into consideration the high quality of the handset. But this is somewhat compensated by the possibility of memory expansion via miniSD cards.

For now it is unknown whether the phone will be available in locations outside of Korea.
