It seems that Bada-ready Samsung S8530 Wave is scheduled for a Christmas release according to a message posted on Samsung UK's official Twitter channel. The message mentioned that the Wave II will be available in the UK from December, but hasn't disclosed the exact date.

Samsung S8530 Wave II was officially announced at the beginning of the month, as the successor to the original S8500 Wave smartphone.

Even though Samsung S8500 Wave is a hit on the smartphone sales market, it seems that the Korean manufacturer decided that users need an updated model.

One of the first European countries that will get the S8530 Wave II is Germany, which will receive the smartphone in November for an unsubsidized price of about 430 EUR.

For those out of the loop, Samsung S8530 Wave II features a bigger screen than the original, 3.7-inch Super Clear LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors (480 x 800 pixels resolution).

The device includes a wide range of features, such as: scratch-resistant oleophobic surface, accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, multi-touch input method, proximity sensor for auto turn-off, TouchWiz UI 3.0, handwriting recognition, and Smart unlock.

The smartphone is powered by an ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor and runs the newest Bada 1.2 operating system.

Other key features of the S8530 Wave II include: HSDPA 3.6 Mbps, HSUPA 2 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5 mm audio jack, 1.5 GB system storage, 390 MB user available storage, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB card included), Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, GPS with A-GPS support (Samsung Mobile Navigator).

Samsung S8530 Wave II sports a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face, smile and blink detection, image stablilization, touch focus. It features video recording capabilities (720p@30fps).

There's no official confirmation on the exact date of its launch in the UK, nor about its price.
