South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics was rumored recently to plan bringing to the market some new Android-based handsets that would be aimed at the mainstream level, and the Samsung S5830, said to arrive on shelves as Galaxy Ace, was one of them.

Spotted recently along with another device from the leading handset vendor, the Samsung Galaxy Suit, the new mobile phone is rumored to be on its way to the Indian market under the name of Samsung Galaxy Cooper.

With a 3.5-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a 320 x 480 pixel (HVGA) resolution, the new mobile phone should put together Android 2.2 and Samsung's Touchwiz UI, the latest reports on it suggest.

Moreover, the upcoming handset should also include HSDPA 7.2Mbps 900/2100 and EDGE/GPRS 850/ 900/1800/1900 connectivity, along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and DLNA capabilities.

The Samsung S5830 also packs a 800MHz Processor (MSM7227-1 Turbo), 150MB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for up to 32GB of additional storage space (a 2GB card included in the package).

The specifications list of the new device reportedly includes a 5.0-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, LED flash and video recording capabilities.

Measuring 59.9 x 112.4 x 11.5 mm and weighing in at 113 grams, the new mobile phone reportedly packs a 1,350mAh Li-ion battery, as well as GPS receiver, 3.5mm headphone jack, and FM Radio with RDS.

In addition to these hardware specs, some info on the features and capabilities the new mobile phone would come to the market with also emerged.

Samsung should include it with the Social Hub (which integrates SNS, Email, IM and Calendar Accounts, along with Calendar – Google/Facebook/Outlook).

Moreover, the Samsung S5830 would also arrive on shelves with Google Maps Navigation(Beta), Latitude, and Places, as well as with Swype, ThinkFree, and AllShare.
