Those attending this year's IFA 2009 consumer electronics show will have a couple of things that could grab their attention, as leading companies like Sony and Samsung are announcing their latest updates. On that note, Samsung, one of the world's leading vendors of consumer electronics, has just informed about the introduction of a trio of new N-series netbooks, providing its customers with a couple of more choices for a low-power, Atom-based portable computer system. The new N130, N140 and N510 are the latest to join Samsung's netbook offering, taking full advantage of the company's experience with the NC10 model, one of the most appreciated netbooks on the market.

Kicking off with the N130, Samsung will now provide its customers with a choice for a new 10.1-inch, low-power system that packs the same hardware as the majority of other netbooks available on the market. The model has been featured with a 1024 x 600-pixel resolution and is powered by an Intel Atom N270 processor, one of the most widely used CPUs for a netbook PC. Additional features include 1GB of RAM and 160GB of storage capacity, all within a system that will be running on a choice for a three-cell or a six-cell battery pack.

Coming as a slightly improved choice, the N140 is said to be featured with a more recent Atom N280 processor and a six-cell battery pack. This model reportedly weights 2.8 pounds and will be available in black, white or blue color themes.

The last, but certainly not the least, is the new N510, which offers a bit of diversity, thanks to the adoption of NVIDIA's ION chipset. The netbook, which was initially unveiled this June, boasts a 11.6-inch display and, thanks to the integrated NVIDIA graphics, can deliver support for 1080p video. Samsung plans to ship the N510 with a Windows 7 operating system, meaning that users will have to wait until Microsoft officially unveils the OS on October 22.
