The Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has officially announced that the new S3500 slider is already available on the Russian market. The mobile phone seems a rather good-looking device for an entry-level.

The new Samsung S3500 comes with a quad-band GSM/EDGE (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) connectivity, while sporting a 2.2 inch TFT display that can deliver a 240 x 320 pixel resolution and 262K colors.

The specification list of the device shows it as including Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and EDR capabilities, as well as a Music player, FM radio, Web browser, email, Document viewer and 35MB of onboard memory. In addition, there is a 2 Megapixel camera that is endowed with video recording capabilities, as well as a MicroSD memory card slot for additional storage space.

According to the company, the new handset has the front panel made out of stainless steel. Thus, the Samsung S3500 offers a special style, while also providing durability, resistance to scratching and reliability. The handset also sports an ergonomic design, and is only 13.9 mm thick.

At the same time, the new mobile phone allows users to personalize it, offering 3 preset themes, as well as the option to make one’s own choices regarding the menus, the background images or shortcuts. Although an entry-level, the handset comes with a wide range of multimedia capabilities, among which we could bring to your attention the FM-radio with RDS, the music player with support for most of the current audio formats, as well as audio recording abilities.

In addition, the phone's video player can play back both the recorded videos and other movies as well. Other features of the device comprise the Mobile Tracker, SOS Message and Fake Call options. The handset is available in Russia for 7500 rubles (which is equal to $210, or 166 Euros). It will soon be released in other European countries, as well as in Asia.
