The 226CW monitor features an 18 percent improvement over the previous standard for LCD monitors, as the Samsung LCD panel (part of the Wide Color Gamut series that extends the red and green color spectrums) reaches 97 percent of the NTSC (National Television System Committee) color gamut for CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) displays.
