South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is reportedly getting ready to bring to the market a new handset that would run under Google's Android operating system, one that would prove at least as popular as the Galaxy S was.

Although specific info on this Android smartphone lack at the moment, it appears that the device already received DLNA certification, which confirms that this feature will be present into the mix.

Moreover, a recent article on Samsung Hub suggests that the handset would run under Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, and that it would sport the model number SCH-I510.

At the same time, the news site claims that the new flagship device would be codenamed “Stealth V,” based on the DLNA certification documents.

Other possible hardware specifications for this device would include a 4.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, along with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) connectivity options.

Unfortunately, other specifications on this device are not available at the moment, but, in case the handset would be released in the near future, additional info on it should emerge soon.

For what it's worth, it appears that Samsung is increasing its presence at the high-end of the market with newer Android-based devices that can easily become best-sellers.

Its Galaxy S smartphone is well on track to reach the 10 million sold units mark, and the first Android Tablet PC from the market, the Galaxy Tab, might soon top one million sold units.

Not to mention that the mobile phone maker was already rumored to plan the release of at least two other high-end devices in the coming weeks or months.

One of them would be the Nexus S, already spotted in the hands of Google's CEO, and expected to bring the next Android OS version to the market in the next few weeks.

As for the other, rumor has it that it should arrive early next year with enhanced specifications when compared with both the Galaxy S and the Nexus S.
