Samsung rolled out a much-awaited Android 4.2.2 update for its Galaxy Note 8.0 Wi-Fi, model GT-N5110. Until now Samsung has only graced the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 3G and LTE variants with the update.

The improved build has been dubbed the N5110XXCMI (October release) and aims to fix some stability issues, among other things.

Users can now download the 660 MB update as an Over-The-Air (OTA) update, but can also access it from Samsung Kies in selected territories in Europe.

Apart from that, users will see the Daydream screensaver mode, dedicated toggles page in the status bar and lockscreen widgets enabled on their devices.

As users download and update their units, there have been some reports via the Xda-developers forum by those who claim that the new build has solved some of issues they have been having with S-Pen inaccuracy. Apparently, Samsung also rolled out new kernel sources with a driver fix to address the S-Pen problems.
