Samsung's first mobile phone to pack inside a 12-megapixel photo snapper (soon to become the first 12MP cameraphone available for purchase on the market), the Samsung Pixon12 has been officially introduced at the beginning of the month, and now we learn that the first live images with the high-end device are available on the Internet.

The South Korean mobile phone maker, as many of you might already know, brought the 12MP behemoth along at the ComunicAsia 2009 expo in Singapore, where these images were taken. Fortunately for us, now we are able to take a closer look at some of the details of the Pixon12, including the microSDHC memory card slot on the left side, the leather coating on the lower back side, or the microUSB port on the top of the device.

At the same time, the company's already announced TouchWiz 2.0 interface can be clearly spotted on the mobile phone, resembling the look that it has on other handsets that include it, such as the newly announced Samsung Jet. At the same time, we can also have a look at the capabilities of the 12-megapixel camera the phone packs inside, through a series of images taken with it.

According to the news on the Web, the interface of the phone's camera is rather simple, offering a wide range of options, including different shooting modes, scene settings, and more others. The device also sports a 3.1-inch AMOLED WVGA screen, as well as support for social networking sites like Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, MySpace, Photobucket or Friendster, allowing users to easily upload there the images taken with the phone's camera.

According to some of the recent rumors on the Web, Samsung might also prep the release of a second cameraphone that sports a 12-megapixel camera, though nothing has been confirmed until now. Another handset to include such a high-quality camera should be the Sony Ericsson Satio, which was previously known as Idou, and which should land in the fourth quarter of the ongoing year.
