It will succeed the Galaxy Camera and it will be quite expensive, unfortunately

The Samsung Galaxy Camera had a fairly decent price at $449.99 / €449.99, even with Wi-Fi available, but even then, some people thought it could be cheaper, especially since it lacked phone call support (Galaxy Camera looks like a smartphone from behind).

This would make people hope that the successor to the Galaxy Camera would be cheaper, or at least not more expensive.

Not much chance of that dream coming true though, according to Samsung Mobile Vice President JK Shin.

Long story short, the man said that there would, indeed, be a successor, quite soon actually (by June's end, 2013), but it would cost over €1000 / $1,000 – 1,322.

The device will be a mirrorless camera running the Android operating system. Its name will be Galaxy NX. It's not clear yet what its cost-adding assets are.
