South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has made a new version of its Galaxy Note 3 smartphone, namely an Olympic Games Edition, available for download.

The new device variant has been spotted in the Netherlands, and it appears that this is the only market where it is available for the time being.

The smartphone comes with the same hardware specs as the original version of the mobile phone, but is being shipped in a special packaging.

Apparently, Samsung is offering the device with tickets to skating sessions in the Amsterdam Olympic Stadium, as well as with a new, special flip cover.

Moreover, those who purchase the new smartphone variant are offered the chance to win tickets to the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, which will be held in Russia between February 6 and February 23.

At the moment, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Olympic Games Edition is available for purchase through Dutch carrier KPN, free on select plans.

Unfortunately, as PhoneArena notes, no specific info on the arrival of the device in other markets around the world has been provided as of now.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Galaxy Note 3 was made official at IFA 2013 in Berlin in September, and that is comes with a 5.7-inch full HD touchscreen display.

Moreover, the smartphone is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM (an octa-core version of the smartphone is also available).

Galaxy Note 3 also sports a 13-megapixel camera on the back, with full HD video recording capabilities, as well as a front camera for making video calls.

Moreover, it comes with the usual set of connectivity capabilities (LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth), as well as with GPS receiver and with the entire range of commonly used sensors. The smartphone is powered by a 3200 mAh battery and runs Android 4.3 (the update to Android 4.4 has already kicked off).
