Samsung seems to be pretty busy this week, as the company launched several bada and Android smartphones in various countries.

During its latest launch event, held in the Netherlands, the Korean handset manufacturer announced the upcoming availability of its Samsung Galaxy Pro budget-friendly Android smartphone.

However, Samsung Netherlands confirmed that the smartphone will be launched under a different name, which seems more suitable for a QWERTY handset, the Galaxy Txt.

Unfortunately, the handset maker has yet to reveal any details regarding the phone's exact release date and price options.

Apart from the different name Samsung Galaxy Txt will be delivered with the same features as the Galaxy Y Pro.

Samsung Galaxy Y Pro was unveiled two months ago and is expected to arrive in stores by the end of October.

The device runs Google Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system with Samsung's TouchWiz user interface on top, though this has yet to be confirmed.

The Galaxy Txt features a BlackBerry-esque form factor and comes with a traditional portrait QWERTY keyboard, as well as an optical trackpad, allowing for easier handling of the smartphone.

Android Market access is provided as well, along with Google's full suite of apps and services, including Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, and Google Talk.

The phone comes pre-loaded with ThinkFree application, which allows users to view and edit Microsoft Word documents.

Hardware-wise, the smartphone is equipped with an 832 MHz processor and packs 160 MB of internal memory, along with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Given its “business” status, the Galaxy Txt sports an average 3-megapixel camera with face detection and video recording capabilities, which lacks a LED flash.

There's also a 2.6-inch capacitive touchscreen with 262k colors support and 320 x 240 pixels resolution.

A wide array of connectivity options are offered as well, including HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Blueooth 3.0 with A2DP support.
