When it comes to tablets, one might say that there isn't much variety to be had, at least as far as Android models go, although there are still such things as unusual inventions, like a certain new slate from Samsung.

Today's tablets are, basically, slate-type portable electronics that have hardware and software optimized for multimedia.

They also have a full set of connectivity and I/O options, including wireless Internet support (via WiFi, 3G or both).

This lets them be used for video chatting and entertainment (media streaming, gaming etc.), among other things.

Samsung decided to put together a product that can do more than this, so it created the SENS-240 Hybrid Tablet.

It is described as a very powerful consumer device with hardware revolving around a processor whose clock speed is of 1.43 GHz.

Being a 7-inch product, said CPU is actually quite powerful, the report making a point of mentioning the fact that audio and video files (like DMB TV programs) can be played at the same time with no problems. 3D maps can also be displayed and run smoothly.

Nevertheless, this all is not what the device stands out for. The less than ordinary asset is the possibility to link the SENS-240 to a another tablet or smartphone.

As such, it will be possible to enact voice calls from it, among other things (like data and video transfers).

What's more, Samsung made it possible to utilize the hybrid tablet as if it were a car navigation system, since it boasts GPS and all necessary software for it (the aforementioned 3D map support helps).

For those that want specifications, the display has a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels, while 256 MB of RAM complement the chip mentioned above.

Finally, an SD card slot is present, along with USB 2.0, and one can even use a smartphone as a remote control if they ant to manage the SENS-240 from afar. No pricing or availability details exist.
