The S-Circle appears to be part of the S-Band family launched last year

If you think the frenzy around Samsung’s wearables is over, you are very much mistaken. The Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo stole much of the attention at MWC 2014, last week but Samsung’s fitness-centric Gear Fit remained somewhere in the background.

Nevertheless, Samsung believes its health-obsessed bands hold the key to the future. Now it appears, Sammy has another health band in the pipe-line, because an unannounced model dubbed the “S-Circle” has popped in for a visit at the FCC. The fitness wearable has been granted Bluetooth SIG certification a while back, indicating the product will not be late to make an appearance.

The FCC filing confirms the S-Circle is an “activity tracker” complete with Bluetooth Low Energy. This information points towards the product being a member of the S Band and Heart Rate Monitor Band launched last year alongside the Galaxy S4.

It's quite possible the S-Circle will combine the capabilities of the two devices mentioned above, and most importantly sell with a low price-tag. The health band will probably be able to monitor movement and health rate and send the info to Samsung’s S-Health app.

Yesterday, we saw the pricing specification for the new Gear Fit leak into the wild, showing us that health-seekers might be able to pick one up for $199 / €145. But how much would you pay for an even more basic device like the S-Circle?
