Videotron has just expanded its portfolio with yet another budget Android smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy mini.

The smartphone is now available for purchase for a suggested retail price of $229.95 or for a reduced price of $49.95.

Samsung Galaxy mini was recently spotted at a Samsung event carrying Mobilicity's brand, but the network operator has yet to launch the phone.

Samsung Galaxy Mini has already been launched on the market in multiple regions, including Europe and United States.

The Galaxy mini has already made its debut in North America through T-Mobile USA. However, the carrier launched the smartphone as Samsung Dart, while in other countries is also known as Samsung Galaxy Pop.

Who would have thought such a small phone could do so much? Complete with a full touchscreen, the Samsung GalaxyMD mini is ideal for texting friends and networking. And with its Android 2.2 platform, you'll have access to thousands of free apps via the Android Market,” Videotron describes the Galaxy mini.

Videotron Galaxy mini is equipped with a low-performance ARM 600MHz processor and runs Google's Android 2.2 Froyo platform with TouchWiz v3.0 UI on top.

Furthermore, the Galaxy mini sports an average 3-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities (QVGA@15fps).

In addition, the Galaxy Mini has a small 3.14-inch QVGA capacitive touchscreen with 262K colors support, 240 x 320 pixels resolution, Swype text input method and proximity sensor for auto turn-off.

Even though it's a low-budget phone, Galaxy mini features HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, along with 160 MB of internal memory and microSD card for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB card included).

Other highlights of the phone include: 3.5 mm audio jack, DNSe sound enhancement, Stereo FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support, GPS with A-GPS support, as well as Digital compass.
