The device can be acquired via major retailer Flipkart for only Rs 9,800 ($200 or 150 EUR). However, it s appears that Letsbuy is offering the smartphone for slightly cheaper at Rs 9,690 (197 USD or 147 EUR).
Samsung Galaxy Y Pro DUOS is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone aimed at business users who want an alternative to a BlackBerry device, or they simply need a smartphone with QWERTY keyboard and dual-SIM capabilities.
This device has it both. With dual-SIM standby (GSM + GSM) feature, users will be able to switch between SIMs without the need to restart the phone. The comfortable portrait QWERTY keyboard allows users to type faster and more accurate.
Hardware-wise, the smartphone is equipped with a 832 MHz single core processor, 512 MB of ROM, 384 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
Even though Samsung claims that the phone will be delivered with a free 2GB memory card in the sales package, neither Indian retailer confirmed this yet.
The Galaxy Y Pro DUOS also sports a decent 2.6-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 400 x 240 pixels resolution. Last bit not least, it offers a 3-megapixel rear camera and a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.
