Samsung has launched the slate trio earlier this month

Earlier this month Samsung pulled the veil off a lineup of three tablets, the Galaxy Tab4, boasting mid-range specs. But the Korean tech giant didn't say when the new devices would be made available and at what price, although we suspected they would be targeted at budget consumers.

Now, Samsung has officially announced the US availability for the slates and the rates at which customers will be able to purchase them. So you’ll be able to find the members of the Galaxy Tab4 line in stores starting May 1 for $200 / €145 and up.

The Galaxy Tab4 lineup has been heavily rumored before finally being quietly launched by Samsung in April. Compared to the high-end Galaxy TabPRO and NotePRO models unveiled at CES 2014, these three new tablets don’t offer anything jaw-dropping in terms in specifications, not by a long shot.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes with a 10.1-inch WXGA display (1280 x 800 pixels), has unnamed 1.2 GHz quad-core processor (believed to be Qualcomm Snapdragon), 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, two cameras (3MP on the back and 1.3MP in front), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0 port, 6800 mAh battery and Android 4.4. KitKat out of the box.

The Galaxy Tab 8.0 comes with 8-inch WXGA display (1280 x 800 pixels), has unnamed 1.2 GHz quad-core processor (believed to be Qualcomm Snapdragon), 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, two cameras (3MP on the back and 1.3MP in front), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0 port, 4,450 mAh battery and Android 4.4. KitKat out of the box.

The Galaxy Tab 7.0 comes with WXGA display (1280 x 800 pixels), has unnamed 1.2 GHz quad-core processor (believed to be Qualcomm Snapdragon), 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, two cameras (3MP on the back and 1.3MP in front), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0 port, 4,000 mAh battery and Android 4.4. KitKat out of the box.

As you can see, there’s not much to fret about here, except maybe the fact you’ll be getting a tablet running Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and you won’t have to sit around waiting for updates.
